Your Georgetown Hoyas (5-2) can’t catch a break. In a nonconference schedule that was ostensibly stocked with cupcakes, the Hoyas have been on the brink of crumbling way too many times. Be it Jay Heath’s health, Rowan Brumbaugh’s illness, Dontrez Styles bleeding through two games, or Jayden Epps’ ankle, finger, or eye, getting everyone together has been the biggest hurdle to experimenting with different lineups. Georgetown certainly did not get to ease into the Ed Cooley Era through seven levels of a candy cane forest or a sea of swirly-twirly gum drops. They’re getting pretty elfed up.
