WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women’s basketball team downed the Creighton University Bluejays (17-10, 11-6) Friday afternoon at McDonough Arena in a 70-67 victory. With the win, the Hoyas improve to 13-14 overall and 8-9 in BIG EAST Conference play with one game remaining in the regular season. Junior guard Dionna White (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) had a milestone as she pulled down her 500th career rebound.
“We didn’t communicate coming out, but we took a quick timeout, and we were able to refocus them and they started executing the game plan,” said Georgetown Head Coach James Howard.
