Hoyas Drop Decision at NC State

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Georgetown University women's basketball team fell, 63-49, to the NC State University Wolfpack (8-2) Sunday afternoon at Reynolds Coliseum. With the loss, the Hoyas move to 4-5 overall with one nonconference game remaining.

“We came out in the first quarter, and we weren’t as aggressive as we wanted to be,” said Georgetown Head Coach James Howard. “We didn’t play to the scout in those first 10 minutes and that was the big difference in the game. It was hard to recover from a 25-10 deficit.”

Senior forward Cynthia Petke (Yaounde, Cameroon/-/Chipola) led the way with 15 points and 10 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season, leading the Hoyas in both categories.
