DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Georgetown University women's basketball team (4-2) downed the Penn State Lady Lions (4-2), 68-54, at the 2016 San Juan Shootout held in Dayton Beach, Fla., at the Ocean Center on Friday. The win was GU’s third in a row and made the Hoyas 2-0 at the tournament.
“Today we took a huge step forward and we did it together, there’s no one person, and that’s the beauty of this team,” said Head Coach Natasha Adair. “We just fought, on the road, and I saw my team grow. From the tip, they had that fire in their eyes and at no point were they on their heels.
