WASHINGTON - Georgetown dropped the final game of a four-game homestand at Verizon Center on Monday night, losing a BIG EAST Conference game to Providence, 74-56.
The loss drops Georgetown’s record to 10-9 overall and 1-5 in the BIG EAST Conference, while Providence improves to 13-7 overall and 3-4 in league play.
Junior guard L.J. Peak (Gaffney, S.C./Gaffney), who was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week on Monday, scored 13 points and had six assists to lead the Hoyas, while graduate student guard Rodney Pryor (Evanston, Ill./Notre Dame Prep/Robert Morris) added 12 points.
