Fresno State alumnus Jose Ramirez defended his WBC Continental Americas title in grand fashion Saturday night with a second-round knockout of Michael Reed in the Fight for Water 7 at the Save Mart Center.
Ramirez came out of the gates firing against Reed, landing several big punches in the first round and had Reed on the ropes. But he was unable to finish him before the round ended.
Appearing to smell the blood, Ramirez started the second round even more aggressive than in the first, scoring a knockdown.
