The Mountain West Conference has appointed Fresno State President Dr. Joseph I. Castro to represent the conference as a member of the College Football Playoff Board of Managers, according to a Fresno State news release.
The main priority of the board is to govern College Football Playoff business, property and affairs over all aspects of the company’s operations. In accordance with the aforementioned priorities, the board develops, reviews and approves annual budgets, policies and operating guidelines.
Castro will be representing, what many would consider, the top Mid-Major conference in all of college football while serving as the president of the conference’s defending football champion, Fresno State.
