The Fresno State football team has landed its fifth commitment in the 2017 recruiting class.
Morningside High-Inglewood wide receiver Patrick Jeune announced Sunday night he has given an oral commitment to join the Bulldogs.
His Morningside football coach, Lafayette Fletcher, played for the Bulldogs in the 1980s, but Jeune on Monday said that’s not the reason why he committed.
“It was a perfect fit for me,” said Jeune, who said he also holds offers from Nevada and San Diego State. “Recruiting process was about me and not somebody else.”
Per NCAA rules, college coaches are not allowed to comment on prospective student-athletes until a national letter of intent has been signed and validated.
