Fútbol is coming to Downtown Fresno.
An exhibition game between Mexican soccer clubs Chivas de Guadalajara and Pumas UNAM will take place at Chukchansi Park next Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Chivas – one of the most popular teams in Mexico – will be making their return to the Central Valley for the first time since 2017, when they played Monarcas Morelia.
Latin Entertainment Inc. is in charge of holding the event. The group was responsible for putting up last summer’s friendly game between Cruz Azul and Pachuca in Downtown Fresno, where an estimated 8,000 fans were in attendance.
