Fresno State coach Jeff Tedford cut a shortish practice short Friday to give the Bulldogs a chance to freshen a bit a day before before the second scrimmage in fall camp.
This one will be much more of a test for the offense.
“There’s more stuff that we’ve installed defensively, so there will be different coverage variations and different blitzes and so on and so forth,” Tedford said. “It’s not just a test for the quarterback; it’s a test for pass protection, blocking for the run, making sure our assignments are down. Last time, there were a few things in there, but (Saturday) it will be can you put the mental and the physical together.
