Fresno State quarterback Zack Greenlee pleaded no contest Wednesday to possession of alcohol while a minor after he was caught drinking a beer at a house party near the campus Sept. 20.
Also pleading no contest Wednesday was Brandon Hughes, a 21-year-old Fresno State linebacker. He was charged originally with obstructing a police officer following his arrest while police broke up the party on North Bond Avenue.
Greenlee and Hughes appeared Wednesday in a Fresno County courtroom to enter the pleas.
Police officers saw Greenlee drinking from a beer bottle. Officers said he later refused to hand over a beverage in a red cup.
