Fresno State men’s basketball guard Jarred Hyder transfers to Cal

Former Fresno State men’s basketball guard Jarred Hyder has committed to the California Golden Bears.

Hyder announced the move to Cal in a tweet sent out Saturday during the final day of the NFL Draft. Hyder simply captioned the announcement with “#GoBears.”

The 6-foot-3 and 180-pound true freshman guard from San Bernardino, Calif., played one season with the Bulldogs, started in 24 games (played in 26 games) and averaged 9.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.

Hyder scored his season-high as a Bulldog on Paul George Day against the Winthrop Eagles where he posted 26 points with a season-best five 3-pointers in a 77-74 win.
