An enthusiastic group of youths turned out Saturday for a free football clinic at Fresno State that featured several ex-Bulldogs stars and other local athletes who have gone on to the NFL
It was the culminating event of Big B.A.N.G. Weekend, with the acronym standing for Building a New Generation. The camp is a joint effort by Keeping Youth Journeying Onward – which offers group-home, foster-family, training and education and other services – and Fresno State Club Red and Athletic Performance.
Kevin Jordan is the organizer of the event, now in its fourth year, with assistance from former Edison High and University of Arizona standout and current Pittsburgh Steelers part-time starter Robert Golden.
