The Fresno State men’s basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season behind a dominant shooting performance from guards Deshon Taylor and Jahmel Taylor to defeat the California State University, Northridge Matadors 89-73 at the Save Mart Center Monday.
The ‘Dogs shot a 58 percent from 3-point range and 62 percent from the field. Led by Jahmel Taylor, who hit a career-high six three’s, the home team jumped out to a 16-point lead in the first half and were able to fend off any chance of a comeback.
His running mate, Deshon Taylor, chipped in 18 of his own behind 50 percent shooting from 3-point range and the field.
