Fresno State picked up five football commitments Sunday after hosting at least 10 players on a busy weekend before the dead period.
All five who made verbal commitments to the Bulldogs are junior college players: Fresno City running back Nate Jones; cornerbacks Matthew Boateng (Arizona Western), Sherman Coleman (Cisco-Texas) and Vosean Crumbie (Ventura); and linebacker Emeka Ndoh (De Anza) of Hanford.
Coleman said new Fresno State coach Jeff Tedford was a big reason for committing: “Love the change that’s about to come. A lot of experience at Fresno State that led me to making it my new home.
