FSU football had its first fall scrimmage on Tuesday night. It began inside Doak Campbell Stadium but had to move into the indoor practice facility due to lighting and weather.
Mike Norvell spoke with the media following the scrimmage and seemed pleased overall. Thomas Castellanos played well, and the implication is the offense made some plays. The defense had some moments, but made some mental errors that must be cleaned up.
All in all, it was a good first scrimmage to set the tone for the team's annual trip to Jacksonville. All of that sounds good, but the biggest win from the scrimmage was that FSU escaped without any major injuries.
