It was just one week ago that the FSU baseball team was losing their 11th straight game to the rival Florida Gators to move their record to just 6-12 in the games since legendary head coach Mike Martin, who is riding off into the sunset after this season, got to the 2,000 win mark – a moment that seemed like years ago with the recent slump.
But, a funny thing happened on the way to the funeral (which we documented last week when pointing out Martin’s clock was ticking on turning this thing around): the Seminoles remembered just how to play baseball and not only got a sweep this past weekend, but did so in a big way against a ranked ACC team in the Clemson Tigers.
