Rutgers offensive tackle Ja’Elyne Matthews will transfer to FSU

Herb Hand continues his makeover of the Florida State offensive line corps. Another transfer portal addition has joined the fold in the garnet and gold, and this time it’s a young offensive tackle prospect.

Ja’Elyne Matthews is a 6’6”, 340 pound true freshman originally from Toms River, New Jersey. He was a three-star prospect as a prep player in the class of 2025, signing with Rutgers and enrolling in January only to leave the Scarlet Knights in mid-April.

Matthews played both offense and defense in high school, accumulating 79 tackles (15.5 TFL) and 4.
