Final score/result: Florida State topped Mississippi College 94-51 in their first exhibition game of the pre-season. Although the Seminoles saw some struggles on the defensive glass and free throw line they shot the three ball extremely well and had an excellent defensive showing with 9 blocks and 11 steals.

Player of the game: Redshirt-senior Malik Osbourne led the Noles with a double-double, finishing the matchup with 16 points and 13 rebounds on 6-9 shooting.

Top newcomer: Houston transfer Caleb Mills got the start at shooting guard and showed intensity from the tip with the first bucket for the Seminoles just 13 seconds into the game.
