Florida State football is listed as the 14th-best recruiting class in the 2026 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite. The fan base wants to see the program elevate to the top ten of the rankings, but it has been a struggle to do so under the guidance of head football coach Mike Norvell.
This isn't suggesting that Coach Norvell cannot recruit because many highly-touted prospects have shown interest in the Seminoles. They just have to find effective methods for closing out the recruitments. Plus, Florida State isn't meant for everyone.
