Florida State football is in a disastrous spot right now as a program, where they went 2-10 in 2024 and 5-7 in 2025. Head football coach Mike Norvell has only had two winning seasons in six years during his time with the Seminoles.
Some members of the fan base disagreed with the decision to fire former Florida State head football coach Willie Taggart when he did, and the criticism intensified when Norvell continued to struggle on the field.
It should be mentioned that Coach Taggart genuinely cared about Florida State football and what they were all about, but he didn't have what it took to get the job done.
