Following the announcement of a settlement between Florida State, Clemson and the ACC in March, the legal saga between the conference and its two biggest brands has officially come to an end as the dueling lawsuits between all parties have been dismissed.
The settlement not only eases the pain of a major revenue gap between the ACC and the Power 2 of the Big Ten and SEC but provides a pathway to greener pastures with each passing year, lessening the financial burden of leaving as well as guaranteeing retention of media rights — essentially shattering the “ironclad” Grant of Rights that had loomed over programs.
