Florida State made a splash this offseason, where they fired offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins and hired offensive line coach Herb Hand. This was important because Coach Hand has had experience at the Power Four level as an assistant coach.
One of the biggest downsides to Coach Atkins during his time in Tallahassee was that he relied heavily on the transfer portal instead of playing the recruits that he brought in. The offensive line has been a mess for Florida State for quite some time.
When Herb Hand was hired this past offseason, he had to bring in several transfers and implemented four of them into the starting lineup.
