Florida State got off to a dream start in this game. In the second minute the Seminoles had a free kick from deep in their defensive third. Lauren Flynn took the kick and booted it almost to the midfield stripe. Kristina Lynch was there to flick it forward with a header. Beata Olsson beat Maycee Bell to the ball. Olsson took a touch and spotted UNC keeper Claudia Dickey off her line. Olsson took a shot from about 30 yards out and floated a gorgeous ball over Dickey’s head and into the top right corner of the net to give the Noles the (very) early 1-0 lead.
