Florida State has landed its next kicker, grabbing a verbal commitment from Ryan Fitzgerald of Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, GA. Specialists are ranked a little differently than other players, so even though he’s the No. 16 kicker in the country for the class of 2019, Fitzgerald (6’, 185) is a composite two-star prospect.
Fitzgerald is also the No. 231 player from Georgia, and the nation’s 2,738th recruit overall. He also has offers from Kansas, Baylor, Houston, Boise State, UCF, Akron, South Alabama, Air Force, FAU, and others. Fitzgerald will most likely redshirt in 2019, acclimating to college while learning behind senior kicker Ricky Aguayo.
