Heat, bugs and sleepless nights: How FSU is embracing trip to Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE — Jammie Robinson had learned his lesson.

So as the Florida State safety began his preparations for the Seminoles’ two-day preseason camp trip to Jacksonville this week, the redshirt junior made sure he was prepared. He knew what the trip to the University of North Florida campus would entail having lived through it last season.

“Making it through, bringing the right stuff and being able to sleep because last year was horrible,” Robinson said of the goals for the trip, which entails sharing dorm rooms and sleeping in loft beds with nothing but sheets.
