The first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2015 season will be unveiled tonight at 7 pm on ESPN, and Seminole fans will certainly take notice as to how far FSU must climb to make the playoff field for the second straight season. In the CFB Playoff's first season last year, the 'Noles were No. 2 in the opening rankings and fell as low as No. 4 before finishing at No. 3, despite being the only undefeated team in the final four.
However the rankings play out, one thing seems certain: Florida State will have an immediate chance to improve its situation, as the Seminoles will head to Clemson this Saturday to play what should be a top-ten Tigers team.
