While Florida State players spent much of the bye week resting, the coaching staff was on the recruiting trail, crisscrossing the state to visit as many high schools as possible.
“It’s all about building those relationships, sharing the vision and that’s being very well received throughout the state,” FSU coach Mike Norvell said Monday. “I’m grateful for the coaches for giving us an opportunity.”
This is an evaluation period on the recruiting calendar which means coaches cannot communicate directly with high school recruits but they may watch practices or attend games and they can speak with coaches and counselors.
