Mike Norvell could barely contain his enthusiasm as he greeted a group of youngsters eager to grab a photo with the second-year Florida State football coach. Each handshake and high-five exchanged had the recipients leaving with a sense of making a lifelong friend.
Norvell and the Seminoles coaching staff were on hand at NW Recreational Complex at Apopka City Athletic Complex Friday as part of a series of youth football clinics held across the state. It was the seventh of 13 camps the program was hosting over several weeks with similar stops in Jacksonville, Melbourne and Kissimmee.
“For us, it was an opportunity to serve our state,” Norvell said.
