FSU’s Jacques Patrick: “We know we’re a great team. This doesn’t define who we are”

The mood in the Florida State locker room following the Seminoles’ 27-21 upset loss to North Carolina State on Saturday may have been depressing, but starting running back Jacques Patrick emerged preaching positivity.

Patrick, who finished with eight carries for 38 yards, said he was “proud” of how true freshman James Blackman played, vowed to fix Saturday’s mistakes this week in practice and that the loss “doesn’t define who we are” - or the rest of the Seminoles’ season.

“Those guys (N.C. State), they played sound defense. They had a good game plan, executed down there — got to give them credit,” Patrick said.
