The last time FSU played an ACC team from the West Coast was the last time they were victorious in a conference game. FSU edged California 14-9 last year and will look to gain its first ACC win since that game when it travels to face the Stanford Cardinals late Saturday night.
FSU goes into the game on a three-game losing streak, with all three losses by a touchdown or less. Stanford has beaten San Jose State and Boston College this season, with blowout losses against Virginia, SMU, and BYU.
This game will be the first time the two programs have faced one another.
