FSU softball has bowed out of the Super Regionals in the last two seasons, a step short of the ultimate goal of reaching the WCWS and competing for a national title.
The 2024 season saw the Noles lack pitching depth, and the 2025 season saw the Noles run into the best pitcher in the country, struggling to score runs. FSU softball head coach Lonni Alameda used the transfer portal for pitching help for the 2025 season, and it paid off.
However, FSU has quietly assembled talent from the high school ranks dating back to the 2023 recruiting class.
