FSU softball (47-8, 18-5 ACC) with its second win over Syracuse in as many days. The Noles shutout the Orange in six innings Friday behind a one-hit 8-0 shutout performance from pitching ace Meghan King.
FSU softball made short order of the Orange Saturday to win the series with a 9-1 victory behind Makinzy Herzog on the mound.
The win was the 200th ACC victory for FSU softball coach Lonni Alameda. What’s incredible is Alameda has reached the milestone in just 11 seasons at FSU.
The ACC all-time softball wins record is 256, a number it took UNC’s Donna Papa 28 years to reach.
