FSU softball (58-11) lost to Oklahoma Thursday night for the second time in the WCWS Finals to end their 2023 season.
It was disappointing because I don’t think this FSU team played up to their potential and missed a lot of opportunities in the two games.
However, ultimately I think the best team won. Oklahoma has more depth on the mound and up and down their lineup. It’s why they were the prohibitive favorite to win the WCWS all season.
However, this FSU softball team has an amazing season when you look at it as a whole, especially considering their upset loss last season in the Tallahassee Regionals.
