FSU seniors aim to tie record for most career wins in home finale

TALLAHASSEE — Lamarcus Brutus remembers what practices used to be like at FSU.

There were hills separating different levels for the offense and defense. Players had to make their way to nearby intramural fields when the old practice facility was being renovated and the Seminoles would hold fourth-quarter drills where the band practiced.

"Stuff changed a lot," said Brutus, a fifth-year safety for the Seminoles.

Brutus made his way off FSU's new and improved practice field earlier this week, walking side-by-side with fellow fifth-year seniors Giorgio Newberry and Nile Lawrence-Stample. They moved toward Doak Campbell Stadium, its bright lights glowing amid the Tallahassee twilight.
