FSU receiver Keyshawn Helton likely lost for season

Florida State losing to Clemson shouldn’t surprise anyone. But what the already banged-up Seminoles really needed to avoid in this one was the loss of any more key players. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that will be the case.

Late in the first half, sophomore FSU receiver Keyshawn Helton was going for a tackle after James Blackman was intercepted on a tipped pass. But Blackman was also pursuing the ball carrier, and he dove into Helton’s legs. The latter was fitted with an air cast and carted off the field. After the game, Willie Taggart said that Helton’s knee injury would likely force him to miss the rest of the season.
