When Jordan Travis hit the turf at Cardinals Stadium, the Florida State quarterback knew something was wrong.
Travis remained on the ground before being helped off the field by the training staff and into the locker room, leaving his teammates and Seminoles fans holding their collective breaths.
“I thought it was bad,” said Travis, recalling the moment he went down during the first half of FSU’s game against Louisville on Sept. 16. The redshirt junior would return on crutches and despite his objections, he spent the rest of the game on the sidelines.
“I tried to get back into the game, but the trainers told me they had to protect me from myself,” Travis explained.
