FSU football led the Virginia Tech Hokies 10-7 at halftime, but the second half was all FSU, as they scored touchdowns on their first three offensive possessions to take a commanding lead halfway through the fourth quarter. FSU eventually won 34-14.
FSU marched down the field on its first offensive possession in the third quarter and had to settle for a field goal, but an offsides penalty on Virginia Tech gave the Noles new life. FSU converted on a fourth and inches and scored a touchdown on a Thomas Castellanos rushing touchdown to make it 17-7.
