No. 2 Florida State baseball (36-11, 16-8) will round out its regular season slate with a top-five home matchup against No. 4 North Carolina Tar Heels (37-11, 16-10) this weekend.
There are plenty of postseason applications to this matchup and some potential hardware on the line for the Seminoles.
With a sweep over the Tar Heels, FSU would lock up the ACC regular season title, and taking two out of three would put them firmly in the driver’s seat. Regarding postseason seeding, anything but a sweep would lock down a top-4 seed in the ACC Tournament next week, giving Florida State the critical double bye.
