FSU football checked in at No. 8 in the AP Preseason Poll and the Coaches Poll. It makes sense, with FSU returning so much firepower on both sides of the ball. FSU tied for No. 16 nationally, scoring an average of 36.1 ppg.
They return Heisman contender Jordan Travis, All-ACC players Trey Benson, and Johnny Wilson, and two of the best additions from the transfer portal in Keon Coleman and Jaheim Bell.
I expect the offense to be even better, but the defense should improve. The FSU defense tied for No. 20th nationally, allowing an average of 20.
