Florida State has signed another transfer, adding former Virginia cornerback Fentrell Cypress II to its 2023 recruiting class.
Cypress, who is the No. 4 overall prospect in the transfer portal according to 247 Sports, appeared in 18 games (15 starts) in four seasons with the Cavaliers. He totaled 57 tackles, an interception, a fumble recovery and 14 pass breakups.
“This is another fantastic addition to our program,” said FSU coach Mike Norvell. “Fentrell is a great player who possesses the unique combination of length and athleticism. He has a huge upside and brings a proven track record of consistent playmaking into our defensive backfield.
