FSU football head coach Mike Norvell took another huge gamble by inviting tons of high-profile players to a big game. The gamble paid off in the season opener when the Noles upset Alabama, but it looked like it was going to backfire on Saturday night for the Miami game.
FSU had a who’s who list of recruiting targets on hand, only to see Miami build a 28-3 lead going into the fourth quarter. FSU fought to make the score more respectable in a 28-22 loss. It’s not clear if the game had a negative or positive effect on recruiting, but one recruiting target decided to back away from his commitment to Georgia Tech on Sunday.
