FSU Football: Recapping 1994 season for Seminoles

On the first day of the year 1994, the FSU football team made history when Scott Bentley converted a short field goal attempt through the uprights of the historic Orange Bowl stadium near Downtown Miami – bringing home the first national title in the nearly 50 season history of Seminoles football.

The season that followed for longtime head coach Bobby Bowden was a complicated one for the Noles – as it was a season where the garnet and gold had the bullseye squarely on their backs as they went on the road toward a repeat title for the first time in the history of the program.
