For the over three decades that legendary former FSU football coach Bobby Bowden was at the helm, his yearly coaches tour across the state of Florida (with some added spots outside the state added later) was a time for the school to not just raise money for the program, but also a chance for fans to get to meet the leader of their favorite college football team.
The tradition has continued with Jimbo Fisher as the head coach. Though it has been expanded to a nearly two month process with cities across the country now added, the intent is still the same as it was under Coach Bowden: give diehard FSU football fans a chance to meet their fearless leader.
