FSU football settled with the No. 18 recruiting class in the 2019 cycle when the final unsigned recruit Nick Cross signed with Maryland.
It was a battle to field that class for a variety of reasons. One was the coaching staff being behind because of having to salvage the 2018 class.
However, the biggest issue stemmed from the egg FSU laid against Virginia Tech in the opener as near touchdown favorites at home.
It seemed as though the season spiraled out of control as soon as the swag surf ended just before opening kickoff.
