As first reported by Noles247, defensive end Xavier Peters will not return to Tallahassee and is transferring from Florida State to be closer to his son.
The Ohio native told Steve Wiltfong of 247sports, “I knew I wanted to be closer to home. This is a family move. I told Coach Taggart this had nothing to do with his program or Florida State. This is all because of family issues.” The redshirt freshman elaborated and said that “Talking to his son on FaceTime every day was not what he wanted.
