FSU basketball: Takeaways from ‘Noles road win over NC State

No. 8 FSU basketball (23-4, 13-3 ACC) didn’t play its best but played well enough to get a 67-61 road win in the ACC over an NC State (16-10, 7-8 ACC) team trying to make the NCAA Tournament.

The game should have never been that close as the Noles missed seven free throws in the final minute of the game.

They were 18-29 overall (62 percent) from the charity stripe with five of those misses coming from Malik Osborne who was 1-6. However, Osborne did contribute nine points, and a game-high 12 rebounds, with five of them being of the offensive variety.
