Thursday night’s Sweet Sixteen matchup between 4-seed Florida State and the 1-seed Gonzaga Bulldogs will feature a couple of firsts for the Seminoles in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. After wins over the 13-seed Vermont Catamounts and the 12-seed Murray State Racers, the ’Noles will face their first single-digit seed of the tourney. And they’ll do so as an underdog for the first time in this year’s big dance.
The Bulldogs have opened as a 7-point favorite over FSU in a rematch of a West region Sweet Sixteen game that the Seminoles won impressively in last year’s tournament.
