FSU basketball (4-1) continued to ease through its non-conference home schedule on Friday night with a win over the Georgia Southern Eagles (3-3). FSU led 40-29 at halftime and expanded the lead in the second half to win 98-72.
FSU was led by Lajae Jones’ program record, tying 10 three-pointers and 36 points. All of his 21 shots were three-pointers, and he made 11 while going 6 of 8 from the free-throw line. Chauncey Wiggins returned to the lineup after missing the last game, chipping in with 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Kobe MaGee had 12 points.
