Summer ball is in full swing and FSU players are already starting to pick up player of the week honors. Parker Messick and Robby Martin are two of the most important players to Florida State’s success in 2021. Both guys have gotten off to hot starts in the Florida Collegiate Summer League.
Messick has already made two appearances on the bump for the Winter Garden Squeeze. The southpaw has posted 3.1 scoreless innings, while giving up just one hit. He’s also struck out six of the 14 batters he’s faced. Messick picked up the pitcher of the week award for the Squeeze.
